Celebrate life with a HomeSounds Nature Silent Disco!
This unique listening event is a party thrown for the sounds around us. HomeSounds has developed this unique event from its many miles travelled, and countless hours of listening, as a way to demonstrate and celebrate our shared, but different, experiences of sound and its profound impact upon our hearts and heads.
Catering for groups from tiny to huge (the largest silent disco ever had 33,000 people attending!), HomeSounds Nature Silent Discos bring curated, often unnoticed or under-appreciated live and pre-recorded environmental sound captured from the air, earth, water (and anywhere else it can be found) direct to the ears of listeners where they are.
Nature Silent Discos seek out environmental sound - not just in nature reserves, on beaches or downtown, but in libraries, on boats or up mountains. If people, microphones and headphones can get there, so can a HomeSounds Nature Silent Disco.

Listen to an extract from a HomeSounds' Nature Silent Disco held at Mildenhall Library, a unique setting in that it sits in the entrance hall of a community space with the public able to both access the library resources and move through it reach other facilities such as a gym, doctors surgery and sixth form.
The disco was fully open to the public, with signage directing listeners to wireless headphones made available on request. Listeners were able to sit and listen, browse the library books, talk with friends and family, all with audio collected from HomeSounds' residency at Suffolk Libraries that was mixed with live sound from the library and bio-sonification.
